$1,500.00Mauritius / Thailand 1868 Incoming Entire Sent from Bangkok Siam (i.e., Thailand) Entire to [Port Louis], Stamps Removed (Peter Ibbotson in 1991 via Private Communication with Bruce Haynes Acknowledged that He Was Permitted to Go Through the Archives of Pipon Adams & Co, wherein He Had Removed the Stamps of Many in the Archive Mail); Thus, Presumably 2d Underpaid as Likely Acknowledged by Boxed “Insufficient” Hand-stamp, & Being Subjected to 9d Fine on Arrival in Mauritius (as Established in July 1868), Making an 11d Total Charge.
